Official verifications are provided in electronic PDF format.
VERIFICATION POLICY Because verifications contains confidential information, it cannot be released to anyone without a written request from the student. Any individual acting on behalf of the student with regard to requesting a verification must have written authorization from the student.
STUDENT STATUS REQUIREMENT Students who have a financial obligation to Northwestern will be blocked from receiving a verification. Verifications are not issued for those who are indebted to Northwestern until such indebtedness is paid or satisfactorily adjusted. A Verification Request Form will not be processed for students who have financial defaults or other obligations to the school. The obligation may be due to a returned check, non-payment of financial agreement, or failure to comply with admissions requirements. Students must be in good standing with Northwestern in order to have a verification request released.
PDF VERIFICATIONS PDF Verification Delivery is an electronically delivered official verification sent over a secure network to the email address of the recipient you designate. PDF verifications issued by Northwestern are considered official documents and are certified by a digital signature and special security characteristics.
THE PROCESS
- Students will provide the recipient's name and email address. Recipient mailing address is also required for verification purposes.
- Student notifies the recipient that the verification will be delivered electronically and that the recipient will receive an email with the verification attached.
- The email will always come from Registrar@Northwestern-Email.com
- The Seminary cannot control if a student or recipient's email system marks the verification emails as spam. If you believe you should have received an email but did not, please contact Registrar@Northwestern-Email.com once you have checked your spam folder and find the email is not there.
ADVANTAGES OF ELECTRONIC VERIFICATIONS
- Receiving the verification directly from the Office of the Registrar ensures recipients they are receiving accurate, official verification from Northwestern Theological Seminary.
- Recipients will be able to view the verification in less than two (2) business days versus waiting for a paper version to arrive by U.S. Mail.
